Right then people...Lets see how good we are act predicting results...
Ive built a new website which is basically used as a tippster betting league. The web address is :

Its completely free to enter and lets people place whatever bets they chose with an imaginary pot of £100.
I will check the winning bets to confirm they are winners to make sure there is no cheating. Everything is done on-line so its easy and straight forward to use and will all make sense once you have registered.
Register for free and have a play around and let me know if there are any errors or things you would like to see added.
My Sunday lot are already playing but if we get enough interest from Westlecot players then I will set up a separate league for us to compete in.

So if we are not notified before then, then we will presume you are not available. You can either contact via e-mail or text. Also can I say well done for a hard fort win on saturday. |

Training At Greendown
|
In-door training has now started and will take place at Greendown schools main hall.
Training will commence at 7pm for an hour so make sure you are there 10 minutes or so before to warm up.

Cup Final Day...Well Second Round Cup Day Actually
|
Congrats on the 2-1 win on Saturday away to AFC Castrol which is a step in the right direction for us after the dodgy start we have had. This Saturday we have our second round clash in the Fountain Trophies Junior Cup which is away to FC Chippenham Youth. Kick off is at 14:30 so we will be looking to leave Commonweal at 12:30.
We have decided to make a day of it and will be going down by mini-bus, having a few beers after the game at their place, followed by a few more beers on the bus on the way back then back home for a quick change and then all back out again in the Plough around 7:30’ish.Tom has arranged a mini-bus for us to travel down in but his only holds 16 people. We have had loads of interest of people wanting to come down for a laugh so need to make sure we have enough transport for everyone to get there and back. If you want to come down on the mini-bus then please let myself, Tom or Scott know ASAP as it will be a first come first served scenario.
Please can you let anyone who might be interested that doesn’t have e-mail know so we can get a count on numbers ASAP.

Club Gathering - Or Drinking Session

The club is gathering to have a discussion on the direction of the club ( translated means are going on the pop ) on Friday 24th August at the Plough at approx 7pm.
If you would like to attend to boice your opinions or listen to the drunken ramblings of everyone else then please feel free to come along. Also feel free to spread the word.

It would be really good this saturday,if as many players go back to the Plough as possible. Even if you were unavailable for the actual match, but could pop in for a beer it would be appreciated.
Andy is helping out much more in terms of sponsorship this year. It would be nice to repay him. However, more importantly it would be good to get a team social spirit going.

First league fixture on saturday 18th August

| Some interesting results within the league on saturday. It will be fantastic to get a game under our belts this saturday. Can players let my self and Tom know of availability as early as possible. I will be picking the team on wednesday. Also it is important that all players that have signed on and not paid subscription fee of £15 yet, do so by saturday. Lovell has returned home today from his honeymoon, with his beautiful bride Jackie, When will they have Kids? This is the Question on everyones lips!!!

Friendly Games Arranged

We have already managed to arrange a number of friendlies so far this pre-season. They are on 21st and Saturday 28th July as well as a game on the 4th August.
The opposition will be Swindon Vic, Minety and Windmill.

Training Has Begun
|
Training is now taking place every Tuesday at 6pm over at Commonweal school. It will be £1 per session to help the club build up some funds to pay for the insurance for everyone.
Alex Stanley has kindly offered to take the training sessions so we are lucky to have someone who knows what they are doing.
