Right then people, Ive built the website but now need to test it.
I suggest that we play for free for a week or two and then if people want to add some money to make it interesting we can or alternatively we can just play for the fun of it.
The web address is
http://www.lovells-life.co.uk/tipsters.asp
Register your details ( it will be a new account and separate from the Royston page ) and have a play around. Can you let me know of any bugs so that I can get them fixed.
Dont forget, I will be using the Will Hill website to confirm bets so any bets you place must be available on their website.
Any questions then please ask...

Nobody will be able to see your bets until they have been completed or confirmed by the admin user.
You will only be able to see the break down of your own betting summary for that month. Once you think you have a winner set the Outcome flag to win and it will get flagged to the admin user to check it out.
Once the admin user has checked it out he can confirm the win and your bank will get up-dated.
Shall I set it so that everyone can see the winning bets or keep everything private ?.

Try and catch you...Ive already passed you with my first bet yesterday. I see gearing has entered the race and has placed his first bet.
Could be interesting with all the CL and league games being played tonight. Might have to have a look to see what else is about...

CLARKIE : I will update whatever odds are entered once Ive confirmed the bet is a winner. Therefore, put close odds in and I will check for the actual odds when I confirm the winning bets.
Goughie : You dont have to register with william hill to get the results. There should be a link towards the bottom of the page or on the left hand side which says RESULTS. Clicking on this will open a page with the sport ( e.g football, horse racing, cricket etc etc ) and a date range. Filling those in will bring back the desired results for you to check.

BREWSKI : You are allowed to place each way bets. Just enter exactly what your bet is in the description ( e.g IWantAWinner to place at Lingfield. )
I will then find the SP odds and up-date it if it is a winner.

Brewski : If you wanted an each way bet you just had to type that in to the description. The amount you entered is the maximum you are spending on that bet.
For each way bets, I will be using 1/4 if the odds or as per the WIlliam Hill website.

PAG : Why couldnt you put a bet on ?. Did it give you an error message and if so what did it say ?.
Most of the error messages that it displays tells you what you have done wrong. Alternatively, if it is a problem with the webpage, close it down and re-open it and try again. Sometimes if you are logged in for ages but dont do anything it will time you out.

If you mark a bet as a non-runner well in advance of the event then I will confirm it as a non-runner and your money will be returned...
