On an overall performance, I thought we done well against a good div 2 team who had some very good players.
Mikey was working well on his own up front and worked tirelesley as ever, pokers was effective down the left wing always looking and wanting the ball, taking on the last man but they mopped up everything we threw into the box.Pag was his usual self, chasing the ball and covered a lot of ground.
The 2nd half was much of the same, from both teams and we were looking the better side for 20 minutes of the 2nd half and we done well to only let in 3 goals and overall a good team performance. Once new Nick moved into the middle he got more involve in the game and played well, as me and him talked about this we knew he is not a wide player as he likes to drift into the middle.When Clarks moved to right back he supported the winger to give him support and someone to pass to once closed down.Everyone put in the effort and I think we deserved more than the result suggested.
Point I picked up on - Good Points -
We passed the ball well
We moved into space
We looked up once we got the ball to look for the pass.
The communication got better as the game went on.
The bad points
Defence didnt seem to communicate as well to each other, no offence to people but steve followed the ball rather than the runner, dom collected the ball on a couple of occasions ran the ball out only to be tackled as he didnt look up and lost the ball, but did have a good game as he didnt try and do to much by trying to take on too many men before passing the ball.
Sometimes we need a good fucking hoof to clear the ball .
The ball bypassed the midfield too much but not as much as usual.
Also we need to play the way we are facing, too many times we try and go forward to look to attack, lets spread the play more.
Lets keep going at it lads as im sure from the last few games we deserved more and there is certainly light at the end of the tunnel.
Play with confidence, we have a good team and we can do this!!!!! < br>

I think we do some very good things and then do some really stupid things.
We are slowly getting better and better when it comes to trying to pass the ball around. I think as a team we need to learn to try and have a bit of composure on the ball ( me more than anyone ) and try to pick a pass out instead of clearing wildly...We have to accept that we might sometimes get caught and it might put us under pressure but I think thats worth the risk if we can better at playing the ball around.
We did it for spells of 5 to 10 mins on Sunday and we looked very good and created chances.
We were up against a very good side and if we play like that against lesser opposition ( e.g sides in our league ) then we should get more out of those sorts of games.
I would like to see us refrain from hitting long balls in to the corners or trying to hit the wingers straight from the kick off etc etc as we just give the ball away and put us back under pressure.
I think Mikey worked his socks off and if we continue to play with 1 up front ( which I think is the thing we should do ) then as a team we need to start working more sensibly instead of hard to close players down. If we stay in position and hold as units across the park then we wont go far wrong. We need to learn to let the opposition have the ball in and around their own box and wait for them to come to us instead of us chasing the game and being pulled out of position...
